Please may I introduce you to the lovely Emma, a world famous model, blogger, and actress. While studying at King's College London, Emma worked around the world, for major brands
such as Avon, L’Oréal and Diane von Fürstenberg, as well as appearing in the
hit American television series Entourage. Now who said girls can't multi-task!!!
As the sun set over Marylebone, I caught up with Emma for a little Q&A on her life in fashion, reality TV and where she shops and eats in the city.
Tell us about what
you do and what you love about your job?
I'm a model,
represented by Nevs Model Agency in London & Next Model Management in the
US. In 2013 I launched my own fashion blog, dedicated to covering life in the
fashion industry. Besides featuring my personal Style Diary and Style Guides, I
report from the front row at international fashion weeks and get the behind-the-scene
scoops from industry insiders.
What has been the
highlight of your career so far?
Graduating from King's
College London was an incredible experience. While my career has somewhat
managed itself, finding the time to manage my studies took a lot of work,
sacrifice and determination, so I was very proud when I was finally awarded my
degree.
Having been in the
show Made in Chelsea, in your opinion what is next for the world of reality TV and what will better shows like MIC in the future?
Hopefully something a
little closer to life in the real world. I like that other reality shows focus
less on relationships and partner swapping but follow their characters in other
aspects of their lives, like their careers. I don't think it’s healthy to be so
focused on who's dating who.
Where do you shop
in London and where do you eat?
You can't beat
shopping in London and I love having Sloane St on my doorstep - Selfridges is
great too and not very far. Although, as I'm often travelling and on the go, I
tend to do most of my shopping online.
Food wise, I'm loving
London's increasingly healthy options. I often stop at KX in Chelsea for a bite
to eat or Shoreditch House if I'm in the area. When I'm dining out with friends
I like Zuma, Arts Club and 5 Hertford Street.
Who are your style
inspirations?
I think Kate Moss has
excellent taste but for me, it's less about individuals and more about
references I pick up when I'm travelling that I will try to incorporate into my
wardrobe. Having said that, Instagram is a great resource for sartorial
inspiration and I'm always searching for new designers and other bloggers to
follow! You can find me @emmamilleruk.
What do you always
carry in your handbag?
I could never
leave home without a Morphie or two! I'm always on my iPhone and so extra
battery life is essential. Besides that, a lip colour to refresh my look when
I'm on the go and my passport, because you never know when you might get that
call.
Five items
you can't live without?
My iPhone, my
laptop, Embryolisse creme moisturiser, Skin Ceuticals B5 Hydrating Gel and
Charlotte Tilbury's Beach Stick.
