There are a few designers that have nailed the world of instagram and Daisy is one of them! Her life through the world of the instagram lens is as enchanting (and encapsulating) as her designs.
Since graduating from Central Saint Martins, Daisy Knights has established herself as the go-to brand for British designer jewellery. Her signature rock and roll, luxury bohemian style has cemented a celebrity following including; Kate Moss, Alexa Chung, Cara Delevingne, Rihanna, Rita Ora and Laura Bailey. Daisy’s ethereal designs are regularly featured in top fashion magazines; with fashion editors giving standout acclaim to her designs. There is no doubting that this lovely lady is one to follow.
Why do you love designing jewellery and why did you want to be a designer?
I learnt from my father who was a hobby silversmith - I made my first ring with him when I was 11 - it was a shared passion and continues to be. I enjoy seeing my designs become a reality.
Do you feel the college or art school you attend makes a difference when starting up your own brand?
I think it helps if you study jewellery design as a degree simply to understand the intricacies. I also think it's important to have retail experience to learn how people shop, how to merchandise and key branding tactics.
I'm seriously obsessed with your Lace Dime collection, where did you get the idea to design them from?
I am a religious Vans wearer and I love to customise my clothing so it was a natural progression which led to making something cool and original! They're so easy to wear and look great alone or piled up together - plus, of course, they're not restricted to trainers - I think they look great on brogues or boots too.

Advice for jewellery designers graduating this year?
Try to get an internship with a designer.

How has social media impacted on starting up your own brand?
It's a good way for customers to interact with the brand and see the person behind it!
Where do you shop and where do you eat when you're in London?
I love Box Park in Shoreditch. Its so cool there and there are also some great places to eat! Plus, its really near my showroom!

I think it's so sweet that her interest started when she made her first ring with her pop at eleven....it's crazy to think that something so small can affect a kid in such a way that she'll base her whole career off of it. It's pretty cool how we can inspire each other without even thinking about it! Her jewelry is fantastic- I can see why she's a star on instagram.
