Blogger Takeover: Hannah Crosskey On How She Prepares For LFW
11 September 2014
This is a rather special post, because it's the very first of its kind.. Once a month I will be asking a professional from the industry to talk about their world. This month for London Fashion Week, we have the lovely Hannah Crosskey from the blog A Fashion Fix.
Hannah, how do you prepare for LFW?
Prepping for Fashion Week, where do I start?
The lead up to Fashion Week is crazy busy with numerous launch parties, lending lounges and brand collaborations, slipping on the occasional… okay I mean frequent, iced lattes whilst on the go. Pre FW I had the pleasure of attending the Aspinal Of London Lending lounge where I was gifted the most incredible FW accessory which I can't wait to reveal in the next couple of days!
I also snuck in time to pop by the Warehouse flagship store which I met up with the girls to choose an ensemble complete with accessories which I will debut during the week. It goes without saying that every girl that attends FW has to have her outfits nailed and this is when online shopping comes in handy, because who has time to trail the shops when we can simply take advantage of the next day delivery services? Finally the bit I seem to dread, actually committing to 1 outfit. I don't know about you but I just want to wear EVERYTHING on the first day! I like to capture a couple of outfits on my blog mid-week, these are usually the outfits that didn't quiet make the cut but are still worth photographing for my followers.
Numerous outfit changes later and I'll head to a bloggers breakfast or straight down to Somerset House where a flurry of fashion photographers are there to capture the uh-mazing street style, this is where I spent the majority of my time.
I am hosting an Instagram take-over for a couple of brands this year so this is where I like to snap away to share the fashion worthy ensembles I spot. The BFC courtyard show space is where the magic happens and if you are lucky enough to snap up a ticket this is where the big shows are usually hosted! I don't know about you but I can't wait for LFW this season.
