So Hot Right Now: POOL SLIDES
30 June 2014
It's officially the summer my dear stalkers and it's also time to get out those sandals, but you can leave those flip flops in the cupboard, because this summer it's time to embrace the ugly but rather fabulous pool slides! This is another item like the UGG boot that has the ability to divide the fashion pack into lovers and haters and will conjure up all kinds of remarks such as; “Remind me to give my dad a ring and tell him how on-trend he is.” !!
I shot the gorgeous Pandora Sykes wearing her slides (which she totally rocks) that she bought a while back, trust our PS to be ahead of the trends!!
Garance Dore, my favourite style and blogging queen, has even done their family tree!!
"1988: I was born.
"1988: I was born.
2000: I played soccer, and I couldn’t play
soccer without a pair of these slides.
2001: I quit soccer. But I wore my slides to
summer camp. And everywhere. With everything. Even with socks.
2003: I part ways with my slides (amicably) and
probably because I traded them for bejeweled flip flops.
2006: There is a photo of Mark Zuckerberg in
the New
York Times wearing the velcro version of this slide.
2010: The slide appears throughout the movie, The
Social Network.
June 2013: The slides appear in a resort look book. Chloé does
their take on the slide for resort.
October 2013: Spotted the slides in an editorial for
Interview (on Karlie Kloss, no less). Our Adilettes are everywhere as a more
radical alternative to the already old news Birkenstock.
Today: The Adidas flagship in SoHo only has the
slides available in a men’s size 11. They have been out of stock for weeks,
guys!'

Here are some of my current slides crushes!
1. Chloe Slides 2. Nike Benassi Swoosh Slides (the originals!!) 3. Jeremy Scott Gel Wing Slides
Which are you're favourites?

So when I discovered the brand Pritch London, like an excited child a reached for my camera, recorder (and credit card) to quiz the lovely Arina on her awesome leather brand.

designer was born and raised. Her brand also has caught the attention of publications such Vogue Italia, Marie Claire, Grazia and Cosmopolitan. Even before finishing this interview I had already ordered my first dress of the summer from her!!!

STALKED: Rachel, Founder and designer, Michaux
5 June 2014
If you haven't yet noticed the sharp spike in fashionable cycle-wear in London recently, then it's a very good thing you're reading this particular interview! Rachel, a keen cyclist herself started up the brand Michaux, specialising in uber cool cycle gear with gorgeous rucksacks that even appeal to the non cyclist such as myself!
We caught up for a gentle (and I mean very gentle) bike ride around the city which I soon brought to an end in favour of stalking this stylish designer!
What do you do and
why do you love your job?
I'm a cyclist,
designer and founder of British-made cycling accessories brand Michaux.
I combine my
love of fashion with my inner nerd by designing high quality accessories with
just that little bit extra consideration to functionality and practicality than
the average fashion handbag.
STALKED: Ekaterina Kukhareva, Fashion Designer.
2 June 2014
Having been a Central Saint Martin's graduate myself, supporting fellow alumni is one of my favourite things when it comes to interviewing up and coming talent. My most recent stalk; Ekaterina Kukhareva, who launched herself into the fashion world with a pretty spectacular knitwear line in 2011 after graduating with a BA in textiles. She specialises in hand worked macramé, crochet, fringing and knotting
mixed with machine knitted unique jacquards, in bold and bright
colours, add elaborate glamour to Ekaterina's collections and make the
timeless pieces stand out. A personal favourite of mine is her AW13 collection which can be found here on Vogue.com
With the sun shining, I quizzed Ekaterina on her style, latest collection and why she loves doing what she does.
What do you do and
why do you love your job?
I am a knitwear fashion designer and I love my
job because it allows me to experiment and be creative in textiles and
fashion.
What are your influences?
I get influenced a lot by visual things: it can be something I see on a street, in books, magazines online, people that pass by and their streetstyle. Music also influences me a lot.
