Recently I had the pleasure of interviewing one of my favourite fashion bloggers, the lovely Wendy Gilmore; the brains and beauty behind the blog Thank Fifi. The blog is a personal style blog with a twist, not only do we get to pour over her wonderful style but she also includes her gorgeous dog, Fi, in every picture, check her out here and see why I'm raving about her!!!
What do you do and what do you love about your job?
By day I am PR and
Marketing Manager for bluebellgray, a Scottish interiors brand. It's always busy and always so full of
colour. The studio we work in and the
girls I work work with are a constant source of inspiration - no matter what I
wear to work nothing is off limits!
Why did you start blogging? And tell me about that amazing
dog of yours?
It all started over coffee with a friend and she suggested
that my love of fashion, writing and photography would be a good reason to
start a blog. The friend is Fi and so
the blog and name were born.
MrK is such a huge part of my life that it feels really
natural to have him as a huge part of the blog.
From a practical side, most outfit shot are taken during dog walks
(sometimes sneakers in a bag) - when you're busy you have to multitask! I think he's super cute and I know a lot of
my readers do too - especially in the early days I think most readers kept
coming back because of him. Tonnes of my
comment are saying, 'Oh my gosh, your dog is so cute' - and I'm thinking,
'Guys, come on, what about the fashion?'.
Ha!
You're blog is known by so many people, what advice can you
give to aspiring bloggers?
Do it because you love it.
If you don't then it will be impossible to find the time for it. Make it work with your life - it's a lot
easier to blog about what you really wear and placed you genuinely went. Consistency is key. I think there's nothing worse than sporadic
bloggers - whether it's once a day or once a week, I think it's important to
give yourself those deadlines.

Where is Instagram going and do you think this will one day
over take twitter?
For me Instagram already has taken over! I am obsessed with it - it's like a visual
feed which to me is much more appealing than 160 characters... And I can spam my feed with dog shots and
nobody minds! In fact, the dog shots,
without fail, always get the most likes.
75% classic, 25%
fashion victim. I think as I'm getting
older it's a lot more important to me to invest in the basics - great jeans and
a white shirt will take you a long way.
But that's not to say I don't want to top it off with a sparkly wool
cap...
Who is your favourite designer?
Tibi and Carven are favourites and feature strongly in my
dream closet but the reality is my highstreet heroes like Reiss, Gap, Mango and
Zara.
Five items you can't live without?
Calvin Klein lipstick, my new Sophia Webster over knee
boots, sunshine, sunglasses and Instagram
Beautiful outfit! The skirt is gorgeous!
