For a while I have been meaning to start my 'StalkerRoll' or blogroll as it's known in the normal blogging world, therefore, over the next month I will delving deep into the style worlds of some of my favourites. Starting with one very gorgeous and talented little lady - Kelly Eastwood, who is the voice behind the popular blog, The London Chatter. She is not only a style queen, but also has an extraordinarily unique blogging voice, you'll know what I mean when you start following her blog - one word.. addictive!
What do you do and what do you love about your job?
I write 'The London Chatter,' a lifestyle and fashion blog. I love that no one day is ever the same for me and I am consistently meeting wonderfully colourful, creative and passionate people. I can also frequently work in my pyjamas - what's not to love?!
How did you get into blogging? And why did you decide to start?
In between a smattering of acting successes in my early twenties, I enjoyed a part-time job at the (now closed) boutique 'Coco Ribbon' in Notting Hill which inspired me to get work experience at several fashion magazines and subsequent jobs in styling and personal shopping. Just over 2 years ago, after a big acting job fell through and I felt in dire need of a regular creative outlet, I started 'The London Chatter.'
In 2020 in your opinion what will be the most prominent media type - print or online?
I'm sure there will be a whole new medium which feeds us our news by 2020, perhaps through touch (you heard it here first folks!) but nothing will ever beat pouring over a crisp, weighty new edition of Vogue, regardless how many easier ways there are to fit that slice of monthly heaven into your handbag.
How would you describe your personal style?
Classically eclectic with red lipstick.
What do you love about LFW and what do you hate?!
I love the breaks between shows at Somerset House where I can sit outside with an extra-hot-vente-soya-milk-chai-tea-latte (yup, I'm one of those) and people/outfit watch... Pure joy. I hate that at the end of each day during the week my perfected strut inevitably ends up as a crippled hobble home and the blisters that follow are ruthless.
Favourite store in London?
That's like asking to pick my favourite kitten (Harry or Lloyd... Lloyd or Harry...) so I will pick a few; Liberty of London (there's not a more beautiful shop to be found in the whole of Christendom), Topshop (a giant candy-store for adults) and Austique (a girlie haven).
The Wolseley on Piccadilly (make sure to have an ice-cold silver tumbler of Black Velvet) and La Bodega Negra, the tacotastic hacienda-style Mexican resturant in Soho.
What 5 items can you not live without?
My iMac, my iPad Mini, my iPhone (...sensing a theme here!) my vintage Cartier watch my parents gave me and my Passport... you just never know!
