This was only the third season for the talented Azerbaijan born designer, Gyunel and like her first show for AW13, this one was equally if not more stunning.  Once an acclaimed artist, it is easy to see her past career seeping into her latest AW14 collection, in which her garments serve as canvas through the transformation of oil paintings into digital prints.

From childhood memories of a Russian cartoon she used to read, last night, Gyunel took us all on a journey through into Russia's winter and snow covered woodlands. The name of this collection was appropriately called 'Galanthus', the Latin translation for this is snowdrops.

Gyunel has embodied luxury deep in the foundations of her brand, by using beautiful fabrics such as silks, lamb nappa leather and mohair.

One of my favourite pieces, the snowdrop shorts! WANT!

As well as the collection being a sight for sore eyes, the models included the beautiful Coco Rocha and there in the front row clang sat Olivia Palermo.

For the final walk, the lights completely went out and this wasn't a power cut courtesy of our lovely London storms, this was the preparation for a very special final piece. As she had done all through the show Gyunel played heavily with shapes, with silhouettes to create the element of being cocooned. Her final piece was just this, a glowing cocoon coat, quite the show stopper!

To check out the final walk, I made a little video especially for all you lovelies.. find it here.

Check out more of this very talented designer on her website www.gyunel.com and follow her latest fashion week goss on here.

Hope you are all ready for lots more shows, emerging and established... woo woo for LFW - let the games begin!!!
