I bumped into Chris a while back at one of my favourite sample sales, Dover Street Market! Chris had just finished working for them as one of their stylists, a year on he now has is own brand and is still styling along the way. I caught up with him recently to find out more...
What do you do? And what's cool about your job?
I do various fashion related stuff, mostly as a stylist. I guess what is cool about it is the chance to meet new people and make new contacts whilst on a job.
Tell me about your new t-shirt brand? Why did you start it?
I don't like to label Crickett as a t-shirt brand.
Although it's the main product that we make right now, we aim to produce other products than just t shirts. We also aim to continue our presence in music/club culture events since our launch party
Crickett is run by myself and my Brother Andy who came up with the name. The name is no direct reference to the sport but more for the rather catchy English sound.
We draw from old and new British cultural references with a suburban London style aesthetic. Crickett started out of a love of garms and pop art.
How would you describe your personal style?
Who is your favourite menswear designer?
Some of my favourite things in my wardrobe are form Visvim, Casely-hayford, Junya Watanabe and Bape.
Where do you shop?
I shop at Uni-qlo, Cos and Dover Street Market.
