Not only is Peony Lim drop dead gorgeous, a style icon, a majorly successful blogger and a talented illustrator, she's also a complete sweetheart, therefore, it's terribly difficult not to have a severe blogger crush on this lil lady!
I touched base with her prior to Fashion week and delved into the wonderful mind of Peony Lim.
Why did you decide to start blogging?By chance. I studied right next to the bcc showspace and I would photographed by street style photographers on the way to lectures, that really encouraged me when I graduated to give it a go.
What is your fashion background?I studied fashion promotion at art school, but then I went to the Courtauld to study History of Art for my BA. So I don't really have that much of a fashion background. I just have always loved clothes.
If you were stranded on a island, which wardrobe item could you not live without? On an island I'm guess a bikini would come in handy, but from a less practical perspective, I love my Jbrand jeans and my Smock tops. Staple outfit at all times
Favourite city during all the fashion weeks?Paris. Its the source of everything fashion and like being in a dream just walking around.
Whats your fashion ethos?Invest in the classics. They will last forever, and always be chic.
Peony broke onto the blogging scene with a bang and in the first year was profiled in Vogue Russia, Elle Russia, Haute Muse, and featured in The Sunday Times Style, Grazia, Tatler, The Evening Standard, Lucky, Glamour USA and The LFW Daily.. the list goes on! She also has collaborated with designers such as Michael Kors to illustrate for projects such as Vogue Fashion Night Out.
Lim's background is a mix of Chinese and English, travelling between London and Asia, giving us all daily fix's of her style diary, as well as doing consultancy work and styling. Her blog is a fantastic inspiration for personal styling, I often turn to it when I have a wardrobe blank, check out her amazing outfits here.
