How Do You Like Your Eggs?

Outside a chalk board reads 'I Can Resist Anything But Temptation', as I read this back, I instinctively change the last word to BREW!

In my opinion this is literally the best place for brunch in the whole of London! Brew is situated on the fashionable Northcote Road in Battersea and ever since I discovered this place I am totally addicted.

Ritually every Saturday (and Sunday depending on how hungover we are) we all descend from central London to feast on their Eggs Benedict, or Chorizo scrambled eggs, with side orders of treacle cured bacon or Portabello mushrooms cooked in balsamic vinegar with pesto. A personal fav of mine is simply the boiled eggs with their radioactive orange yolks served with sourdough soldiers.

Feeling rather hungover on Saturday, one of Brew's famous fresh juices did the trick setting me up for another crazy night.

Within the area this place is well known for its brunch, be prepared to queue a little and of course there are 'no reservations', but it is well worth it. The weekend brunch ritual is one of my favourite things and there are many fab places in London, which I plan to give you some of my favourites another time but honestly in my opinion, this place certainly (excuse the corniness) wins gold! ;)

An Olympic Weekend

You know it's been a good weekend when on Sunday, you wish the following day was Friday and you could do the whole weekend all over again...

The weekend started with an Olympic bang when we attended the CasaItalia Olympic Launch party; dancing girls, fire performances, famous DJs and a lot of flowing champagne, contributed to an impressive Friday hangover!

I accidentally fell into the sales at Zadig and Voltaire on Saturday, dangerous territory, as this is one of my favourite shops, the one on South Molton Street has the coolest wallpaper.

Last Wednesday Rag & Bone opened it's debut London store in the heart of Chelsea. What used to be an old bank has turned been renovated to give an urban industrial feel, which is the epitome of the brand.

Black and white photographs hang on the walls, with steel storage constructions and exposed piping, this brand another favourite of mine, rocks indie chic and is well worth a visit.

After a heavy day of shopping, it was time for another Launch party, this time, the creme of watch makers and official timekeepers of the Olympics, opened Omega House. A temporary members club, which membership is by invitation only is for Omega's guests during the Olympics. The impressive members club situated on 1 Greek Street in Soho was designed to an extremely high standard with every room reflecting different Omega collections. The event was attended by an impressive guest list, including Nicole Kidman, Eddie Redmayne (my future husband!) and many more! During the games they will be hosting various VIP parties and events, I'll be heading there again on Wednesday for another party.. oh dear Berocca at the ready for Thursday!!!

How To Stay High In Heels!

I have a few weaknesses in life... Samples Sale, Shoes, Carrot Cake and the biggest of all, Coffee! So needless to say I have a few favourites.. here's a little dose of my fav caffeine hang outs!

Starting with my number two favourite; Foxtrot & Ginger in Soho.. the place has that urban chic vibe, that you would expect to find in a fashionable Soho cafe, perfect for a spot of chilling and blogging (hooray for free wifi)- at weekends I always find myself falling into this place. Their coffee is beautifully rich and strong!

No guessing where Nordic Bakery originates from, which is a beautiful Scandinavian-style café, also in the heart of Soho. As well as delicious coffee, I love their healthy rye bread with smoked salmon - perfect workday hangover food!

For the strongest cwooffee you will ever have, go to the  Flat White! It also does a yummy breakie and has this amazing New York style go-go atmosphere!!

Yummy Flat White eggies!

I always keep the best till last ....

Finally I have ended with my favourite of all... Flat Cap in my opinion the Caviar of coffee places, forget fancy cafes with fashionable industrial lighting and wooden floors, this is just a cart and is all about the coffee! Run by Brazilian Fabio Ferreria, who knows his regular clients by name, asking after their health and family, whenever he sees them! His coffee is exquisite and has deep amaretto tones! You will find him in Borough Market and Westminster, well worth a visit!

London is packed with some amazing coffee shops from all over the world, these are only a few of my favourites.. which are yours?

Enjoy my caffeine highs!

Wardrobe Ideas: Mens Shirt Face Lift

If you're anything like me, I get bored of my wardrobe so often and this unhealthy attitude is a killer on the bank balance! Therefore, I've started recycling old items and giving them a much needed face lift!

I started with this old shirt which I actually used to sleep in! It was so long, I thought about turning into a kind of shirt dress, perfect for evenings out with the girlies or holidays with my vintage white shorts!

I started by cutting off the cuffs and sleeves - this is so I could create three quarter length, slightly gathered sleeves, which would make the shirt look more like a 'dress' rather than an over sized shirt.
Gather the end of the cut off sleeve with a single thread, then sew the cuff of the shirt (which you have cut off earlier) back on. I'm not going into too much detail because this DIY project will totally depend on the size of the shirt etc, so you may need to play around with it a bit!

Then I pinned onto the front of the shirt two strips of vintage silk, once pinned, turn the edges under and sew.

Replace the buttons with something slightly more interesting to match the silk..

E Voila!!!

Jazzing up old items is a great way to revamp your wardrobe, little things which are easy to do like replacing buttons on shirts or jackets to dying jeans makes a big difference and will prologue your desire to whip out that credit card and attack the highstreet.. well at least for a week or so!!

Urban Safari

Today I spotted this beautiful gazellesque creature wandering through Soho. Wearing leather trousers with a tweed jersey jacket, I love this use of contrasting materials... tres chic!

With large headphone casually slung round her delicate neck, leather, tweed, this chick has an awesome style. She photographed beautifully, no guessing this little stylish lady was a model!

My Little Green Prorsum Friend

No, before start wondering, Burberry haven't started making 'little green' aliens.. this is the new addition to my clutch collection and although a previous season, I simply adore it.

This morning waking up to another dull day in London, I  grabbed my new patent clutch to add some va va voom to my day and outfit!  From the SS11 Burberry Prorsum collection, this bag sold incredibly well and was part of a wonderfully bright collection of patent leather clutches in bright orange, neon pink and this green!

I am wearing: Denim shirt; Topshop, Top; D&G; Leggings; Burberry Prorsum; Bag; Burberry Prorsum, and booties; Ash!
