As we say farewell to 2012, a mammoth year of celebrations, from The Queens Jubilee to that little sporting event called the Olympics! For the Style StreetStalker it has also been a fabulous year, so I thought I'd give you a little recap of my favourite moments.
Starting with the main reason I started the blog - Street Style baby! I've photographed some fabulous fashionista's, here are some of my favourites!

There are three types of vintage collector - 'The Hardened Addict', if a 'new' or high-street item entered the wardrobe, it would of course be a mistake and would be promptly removed! 'The Dabbler', who loves the idea and essence of vintage but also adores new present designers or high-street. Then last but not least 'The Secret Lover', who never buys vintage but would steel all her mothers vintage Hermes scarfs and Chanel dresses!
I have to admit, I am actually the last one 'The Secret Lover' but this will be soon changing now that I've discovered a little gem of a vintage store!
Please may I introduce you to Elvira Vintage!
Elvira Vintage is a unique store in which every single item has been carefully selected by its extremely style savvy owners Tori Steinberg, and Sophie Scrimgeour. Both Central St Martins graduates, spent time in New York City, where they found mutual admiration for all things vintage and later came back to start their first business venture together, Elvira Vintage.
Handpicked vintage items include designers such as, Balmain, Celine, Alaia, Yves Saint Laurent and Chanel. The wonderful thing is the prices are far from designer and the items are practically brand new.
Talking to Sophie and Tori, it is evident that they have expressed themselves through their vintage brand, it oozes a trendy and fun atmosphere!
“One thing we noticed about vintage shops in London is that they are scarcely edited. We want our collection to be pieced together based on styles that are vintage but also run parallel to current trends and contemporary living”
With New Year Eve approaching a dashed into the store to pick out some of my favourite items, before this very special pop-up store closed!
In the end I fell in love with these vintage silk Balmain trousers and leather quilted waistcoat, which soon found their way into my shopping bag! Sadly the store has now closed but all the items if not already sold are still available for purchase.
You may remember back in November I attended their awesome launch party with the likes of Tracey Emin and Clara Paget. I had a feeling that this was definitely one to watch and sure enough I was right, with talks of the next store possibly in the Chelsea area, Elvira is set to become a vintage favourite amongst fashion loving individuals!
The beautiful thing about something vintage is that not only is it totally unique, it holds an unknown history, a mother may have been given a vintage jacket from her mother and maybe she will pass it on to her daughter one day. This I think works when the items are high quality and possibly designer, as I said before, I'm not a massive vintage collector but I really do adore one off old designer pieces, like my mothers 1970s Burberry suit (which a similar design went down the runway two seasons ago) or her Hermes scarves which will always be 'forever' items. Elvira offers these types of pieces!
This was Tori and Sophie's debut pop up store and I'm delighted to hear that the next one is not to far away - for update follow them on twitter.
If any of the items have caught your style savvy eye, it's worth checking if they are still available; email:

On the twelfth night before Christmas, time rewound itself to the 17th Century and planted me in the middle of The Vauxhall Pleasure Gardens! This may sound distinctively like a sex party but I can assure you whole heartily it was not!!! The Vauxhall Pleasure Gardens was a place where the folk of London used to go to and be entertained by the beautiful gardens, concerts, music and food in the mid 17th century.
This was all brought to us by the Young Georgians which is the 'younger set' of the Georgian Group and all under the roof of number six Fitzroy Square, at their latest 'Georgian Townhouse Party'!
We all dressed up in our best Georgian attire for a night to remember!
The gorgeous Emily wears a vintage Zandra Rhodes dress, giggling while having her picture taken by the talented photographer Tom Medwell (and little meee!)
Festive head gear!!!
Throughout the night we sipped many glasses of champers, watched the most beautiful ballet, danced a little ourselves in full Georgian style late into the evening!
The organiser and head of the Young Georgians; Oliver Gerrish and friends, Henry Conway and the beautiful Leanora!
This is the second Georgian Townhouse party I have attended, the first you may remember I was prancing around as a fairy - here's a little recap! The organisers of these fabulous parties are Oliver Gerrish and Sophie Edmonds of the event company Edmonds and Gerrish. Sophie is the talent behind Lady Greys, a dance and events company, supplying performers for the events such as the premiere for the latest Bond film's afterparty.
If you would like to join me at the next party, the annual membership is only £25 and it's well worth every penny with the parties they throw!!!
All costumes supplied by Edmond & Gerrish and Lady Greys

There's no doubting Christmas is by far my favourite time of the year, hence this lil Style Stalker has fallen off the radar lately - little too much shopping and partying I think!!
I adore everything about this festive (if a little mad at times) season, from the frantic pressie buying to the last minute wrapping, as relatives shout from beside the tree, 'come on, we want to open our presents'!! Then there's all the Christmas parties, tree decorating, turkey eating (that mum will of course buy one big enough to feed a small African continent!), the 'stuff dieting' attitude and general relaxed together-ness that this fabulous season brings!
So here's a little recap of a few of my favourite Christmas moments!
Christmas starts in this little style stalkers house with the ritual of decorating the tree, I have obsession with Christmas decorations and I add one to my collection each year, this year it was the hedgehog! I bought this little fella in the hills of Switzerland earlier in the year and adore his little cute face and spikey body!
On the 1st December for the last few years I've been treated with the most incredible Christmas tree at work! Covered in the colours from existing in store visual campaigns, this year it was gold, the tree is always enormous and stretches up 3 floors of the building.
To Burberry Christmas party is no surprises a very sleek and polished affair, as the party begins at 4pm we hear the beautiful notes of the young voices from the choir as they sing under the huge gold tree with snow flakes falling from the ceiling of the headoffice! Canapes cocktails and champers is handed round, as over 1500 employees relax and get into the Christmas spirit!
As well as the party, there is also the most amazing prize draw - Burberry handbags, trips to Hong Kong, iPads, Bespoke vouchers and lots of other amazing gifts are handed out to a few of the lucky winners! Guess who won this year..... Oh yes the style stalker herself!! I won the most amazing Burberry clutch from the Prorsum Country Collection- you will see this soon I promise!!!
Christmas shopping normally fills people with a sense of dread but me being a shopaholic myself, I adore it - it's like my guilt free hit! We headed to the shops dressed in fur and shearling and shopped late into the evening, rewarding ourselves with a yummy glass of mulled wine from the Chelsea farmers market!
The weekend before Christmas, friends and I hit Winter Wonderland in Hyde Park before heading out for some Christmas drinkies! Me in my pink wig just for giggles!!!
Ahh so Christmas has finally arrived and I head back home to the country for some much needed R&R!
Pooches playing with the Lindor Choccie Cracker - Doggies can but dream!
After an amazing blow out Christmas lunch we all collapse for afternoon snoozes - including the dog!
After a thoroughly indulgent Christmas, as January approaches there was one pair of socks out of the many Santa gave me which really stood out! DETOX TIME!
I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas, if you have a blog and have written all about your Christmas, I would adore to read - so remember to pop your blog links in the comments section!!
